If you’re looking for treatment, housing, or reentry support —for yourself or someone you care about— First Step House offers compassionate, coordinated services in Salt Lake County.
Our programs are designed for people facing complex challenges such as substance use disorders, mental health conditions, homelessness, and justice involvement. Most services require a referral, but we’ll help you understand the process.
Review the admissions information carefully. Most programs have eligibility requirements and closed referral processes. Contacting us directly does not speed up admission, but our staff are happy to answer your questions.
I had lost everything and everyone. All that changed when the day I made it to First Step House. I have never been as happy or had as much hope for the future as I do now. Thank you to the Valor House and team.
From the stellar case managers all the away up to the program directors, the therapists, even the peer support staff and transportation drivers. ALL of them gave me hope, encouragement, and belief.
If you haven’t experienced homelessness, it’s hard to understand what people are really going through… It’s a like a cycle— you need money to access resources, but you can’t get the money without the resources.
This has been such a positive experience here, being here. To help me reestablish my life. And give some normalcy back, instead of worrying. I have confidence that all will come together because of Valor House.
Every treatment bed is a chance to begin again. Your support helps
people rebuild their health, their families, and their futures.
